The Nepal Himalayan Cross-Border Commerce Association has encouraged the embassy to take the initiative to address the issue because there is a shortage of goods in the Nepali market and businessmen are suffering as a result of the loose import regulations from China.
It has been stressed to expedite the container release process and the usage of customs facilities since the closure of Kerung Naka has increased the risk of containers piling up and the quality of commodities falling at Tatopani Naka.
The establishment of a testing facility at Tatopani Naka, the accelerated construction of the Miteri Bridge's temporary structure by businesses, and the facilitation of import-export are all being explored by Nepalese and Chinese officials.
