The Kerung or Rasuwagadhi border is another border for importing goods from China to Nepal. This route lets people load goods via truck from Chinese cities like Lhasa and Shigatse. Due to some disputes and weather condition the route was closed for sometime, but is currently in operation. The normal transit time for this route is 7 to 15 days. The customs duty reductions of 4% are available for goods coming from Tibet if payment is made through a Letter of Credit.

Birgunj Border

The Birgunj border is the busiest border crossing between China and Nepal. It also uses the ASYCUDA World system for direct import from China to Nepal. Currently, the customs office for this border has been united with Birgunj Dry Port. Hence, now people can bring goods with high volume. Not only that, but goods are now checked properly, which follows the laws and regulations of the government.
