On Sunday night, an unimaginable incident occurred that disturbed the Nepalese importers & businesses. An explosive fire broke out in the mid area of Khasa Bazaar and Nyalam. The blaze of the fire has effected the area severely. Even the forest area, which was huge in area, was completely damaged by the ongoing fire explosion. It seems that the normal lives of the locals were also affected by it.
As stated by the Police Inspector at the Kodari Area Police Office, Jagat Bahadur Rai, the Chhobin area has been highly affected by fire flames spreading rapidly throughout the whole area. Seeing the situation, the Chinese authorities have stopped bringing goods from China to Nepal at the Tatopani border. This decision has spread disappointment among the importers in Nepal who deal with trading Chinese goods. It seems that the importing business can slow down for the coming days.
A huge amount of smoke and ashes was spreading all over the sky area between Tatopani and Liping. What’s more concerning is that the Chinese security agent has stated that if the fire is not kept under control, then this could badly destroy the larger area in the forest area of Khasa and even outspread further affecting the upper hill region of Nepal. Furthermore, communication and network services between the Tatopani border faced immense problems as a result of the fire disruption.
Hence, it's a huge problem that the importers and traders in Nepal are facing right now. Vehicles carrying the imported Chinese goods that are worth a million has been abandoned till further notice. Despite these current complications in the nation, let’s hope for a positive outcome very soon.
